In 2012 Lavinia Meijer internationally drew attention with the album ‘Metamorphosis-The Hours’, on which she performed music by Philip Glass. It became one of the best sold ‘classical’ CDs ever in the Netherlands. Tonight, together with the Attacca Ensemble, the harpist is bringing you a special program with music by Glass. You will hear new adaptations for harp, piano, choir and percussion from parts of the most beautiful works by the world-famous pioneer of minimal music, such as ‘Akhnaten’, ‘Koyaanisqatsi’, ‘Songs from Liquid Days’, ‘Music in Similar Motion’ and ‘Hydrogen Jukebox’.
In 2012 baarde Lavinia Meijer internationaal opzien met het album ‘Metamorphosis-The Hours’, waarop zij muziek van Philip Glass speelde. Het werd een van de best verkochte ‘klassieke’ cd’s aller tijden in Nederland. Met het Attacca Ensemble brengt de harpiste vanavond een bijzonder programma met muziek van Glass. U hoort nieuwe bewerkingen voor harp, piano, koor en slagwerk van delen uit de mooiste werken van de wereldberoemde pionier van de minimal music, zoals ‘Akhnaten’, ‘Koyaanisqatsi’, ‘Songs from Liquid Days’, ‘Music in Similar Motion’ en ‘Hydrogen Jukebox’.
