The Doors Alive is seen by many as the best tribute band of The Doors. The band imitates the sound, the look, the presence and the magic of a real Doors concert in the 60s seamlessly and takes you back to the flower power time.
Singer William ‘Morrison’ looks strikingly like the Jim Morrison of the late 60s when it comes to his appearance, posture and voice and the keyboardist imitates the sound of Ray Manzarek perfectly. To reach that authentic sixties-sound, the members of The Doors Alive use the exact same instruments as The Doors. Of course all The Doors’ big hits are performed, such as ‘Light My Fire’, ‘When The Music’s Over’ and ‘Riders On The Storm’. Both musically as with the show itself, nothing comes closer to the original than The Doors Alive!
The Doors Alive wordt door velen gezien als de beste tributeband van The Doors. De band imiteert naadloos het geluid, de look, de presence en de magie van een echt Doors-concert uit de jaren ’60 en neemt je mee terug naar de flower power tijd.
Zanger William ‘Morrison’ lijkt in zijn voorkomen, houding en stem sprekend op de Jim Morrison uit de late jaren ’60 en de toetsenist bootst het geluid van Ray Manzarek perfect na. Om de authentieke sixties-sound te bereiken, gebruiken de leden van The Doors Alive precies dezelfde instrumenten als The Doors. Natuurlijk komen alle grote hits van The Doors voorbij, zoals ‘Light My Fire’, ‘When The Music’s Over’ en ‘Riders On The Storm’. Zowel muzikaal als qua show en uiterlijk komt er niks dichter in de buurt van het origineel dan The Doors Alive!

Zanger Willie Scott heeft met zijn mooie bariton stem zeker het charisma en de sensualiteit van wijlen Jim Morrison en het leek hem ook geen enkele moeite te kosten om de langgerekte kreten van Jim te evenaren. Hem kan hooguit verweten worden dat hij iets te lief was naar het publiek toe en dat er regelmatig een glimlach op zijn gezicht verscheen.”
