The Excitements is een soulformatie uit Spanje die de tijden van Ike & Tina Turner doen herleven. The Excitements heeft in de Mozambikaanse Koko Jean Davis een beestachtige frontvrouw met een fantastische soulstem en als extra wapen een fantastische blazerssectie in huis. De band maakt stomende r&b en soul en brengt de stemming in iedere zaal tot een hoogtepunt.
Dit jaar bracht de band het album ‘Breaking the Rule’ uit. Met het nieuwe materiaal én de eerder uitgebrachte swingende songs, laat zij in De Spieghel horen hoe lekker soul en R&B uit het zuiden kan klinken.

Spanish soul formation The Excitements are reviving the times of Ike & Tina Turner. Koko Jean Davis, from Mozambique, is the beastly front woman and with her fantastic soul voice and their great brass section The Excitements have a lot going for themselves. The band creates steaming R&B and soul and brings an amazing atmosphere to every auditorium.
The band released the album ‘Breaking the Rule’ this year. The new material from this album as well as swinging songs that were previously released will be performed in De Spieghel. The Excitements will show how delicious southern soul and R&B can sound.
