The Doors Alive wordt door velen gezien als de beste tributeband van The Doors. De Britse band imiteert naadloos het geluid, de look, de presence en de magie van een echt Doors-concert uit de jaren 60. Zij nemen je mee terug in de tijd op 22 september in De Oosterpoort.

Leadzanger Mike lijkt in zijn voorkomen, houding en rijke stem sprekend op Jim Morrison uit de late jaren 60. De toetsenist bootst het geluid van Ray Manzarek perfect na. Om de authentieke sixties-sound te bereiken, gebruiken de leden van de Britse tributeband exact dezelfde instrumenten als The Doors. In een show van The Doors Alive kunnen de grote hits natuurlijk niet uitblijven, denk aan: ‘Light My Fire’, ‘When The Music’s Over’, ‘Riders On The Storm’ en ‘The End’. Zowel muzikaal als qua show en uiterlijk komt er niks dichter in de buurt van het origineel dan The Doors Alive.

The Doors Alive
With his appearance, attitude, and rich voice, lead singer Mike is the spitting image of the Jim Morrison of the late ’60s. The keyboardist imitates Ray Manzarek’s sounds perfectly. To achieve the authentic sound of the ’60s, the members of the British tribute band use the exact same instruments as The Doors. Of course a The Doors Alive show contains major hits as ‘Light My Fire’, ‘When The Music’s Over’, ‘Riders On The Storm’, and ‘The End’. Musically as well as in show and appearance, there is no alternative closer to the original than The Doors Alive.
