Roxeanne Hazes gaat in 2025 voor het eerst op tour langs de Nederlandse theaters. Samen met haar ijzersterke band brengt ze de liedjes van haar album De Tijd Gaat Mooie Dingen Doen en die van haar prijswinnende debuut Mijn Bloed (2017).
Ondanks dat ze dit jaar net een Edisonprijs mis greep in de categorie beste Nederlandstalige album, kreeg ze een overweldigend juryrapport: “Met een sterke persoonlijkheid, een diepe stem die je raakt en ijzersterke producties is dit een dijk van een album. Ook een hoopvol album, waarop de muziek modern, filmisch en heel herkenbaar is. Roxeanne Hazes bewijst aan top van de Nederlandse muziekscene te staan.”
Haar verhalende liedjes en muzikale evolutie lijken gemaakt voor de intimiteit en sfeer van het theater waar Roxeanne ook meer zal vertellen.
“De Tijd Gaat Mooie Dingen Doen is een hoopvol album waarin de afgelopen jaren worden bezongen. Dit album is echt een weerspiegeling van al die hoogte- en dieptepunten. De clichés zoals ‘een album als dagboek en verwerking’ zijn in dit geval helemaal van toepassing. Ik zing over liefde, maar ook over afscheid nemen. Er zijn nummers over vriendschap, angsten, ontsnapping, zelfontdekking en nog veel meer.”
Roxeanne speelde dit jaar met haar band een grotendeels uitverkochte voorjaarstour, staat op vele zomerfestivals en maakt nu eindelijk die stap naar het theater. Haar theatertour start in een uitverkocht Carré.
Roxeanne Hazes will tour Dutch theaters for the first time in 2025. Together with her rock-solid band, she will perform the songs from her album De Tijd Gaat Mooie Dingen Doen and those from her award-winning debut Mijn Bloed (2017).
Despite narrowly missing out on an Edison award this year in the category of best Dutch-language album, she received an overwhelming jury report: “With a strong personality, a deep voice that touches you and rock-solid productions, this is a dyke of an album. Also a hopeful album, on which the music is modern, cinematic and very recognizable. Roxeanne Hazes proves to be at the top of the Dutch music scene.”
Her narrative songs and musical evolution seem made for the intimacy and atmosphere of the theater where Roxeanne will also tell more.
“De Tijd Gaat Mooie Dingen Doen is a hopeful album that sings about the past years. This album is really a reflection of all those highs and lows. The clichés like ‘an album as a diary and processing’ totally apply in this case. I sing about love, but also about saying goodbye. There are songs about friendship, fears, escape, self-discovery and much more.”
Roxeanne played a largely sold-out spring tour with her band this year, is performing at many summer festivals and is finally making that move to the theater. Her theater tour kicks off in a sold-out Carré.
